Services
From overnight stays to quick check-ins and outdoor adventures, I offer flexible care options based on your pet's needs and personality.

Meet & Greet
Before services begin, all new clients (or returning clients if it has been a while) start with a free Meet & Greet in your home. This short visit gives us a chance to meet in person and go over all important details. It also helps your pets to feel more comfortable before I suddenly appear in their home like some mysterious snack-distributing stranger. For many pets, having a familiar face beforehand helps reduce stress and creates a smoother experience.
Have dates in mind and don't want to lose them? Feel free to book the service first and then come back to book a Meet & Greet!Don't have a service in mind, but still want to book a Meet & Greet for the future? That works too!
Here's a list of things we'll go over (though, some things may not apply or may be missing for the list)
- Home Access Instructions (i.e door codes, keys, hidden keys etc)
- Medications (where is it located, how to administer, time frames)
- Emergency Contacts and Vet Information
- Your pet's regular routine (I'll stick to it as much as I can)

Important Information & FAQ
Cold Weather
Cold weather policy applies to dog walking services only. During extreme cold or unsafe weather conditions, walks may be shortened, modified, or cancelled.
Dog Walking Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for dog walking cancellations. Walks cancelled with 24 or more hours' notice will not be charged.
Plant Care
Plant care in included, but I'll be honest: plants and I sometimes have a complicated relationship. Please leave very detailed instructions - especially if your plants require anything beyond basic watering. Bonus points if they're lowered form high shelves ahead of time as I am short and would prefer not to accidentally perish trying to reach them.
Here are a few of the most common questions I've received over the years. If you don't see your question here, feel free to reach out!
Do you take reactive/aggressive dogs?
Absolutely! Reactive and aggressive dogs are not only welcome - they're actually a big focus of my services. Walks are structured with safety, patience, routine, and comfort in mind. Dogs are always kept on leash.Do you offer pack/group walks?
No - I do not offer pack or group walks. Many of the dogs I work with are reactive or dog-selective, so all walks are done individually for safety and comfort.Do you stay overnight?
Yes! House/Pet Sitting includes overnight stays in your home.Do you only care for dogs?
Not at all! While dogs are a large part of my work, I also have experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, rats, snakes, spiders, horses and other animals. How does payment work?
House/Pet Sitting requires a non-refundable booking fee to secure bookings, afterwards I leave a paper invoice with the remainder.
For Check In Visits, a paper invoice is provided at the end of the service.
For Dog Walking, a paper invoice is provided at the end of the month. What payment methods do you accept?
For House/Pet Sitting and Check In VIsits, payment is accepted by e-transfer.
For Dog Walking, payment can be made by e-transfer or cash. How do updates/photos work?
I know being away from your pets can feel stressful, so I do my best to provide regular updates and photos throughout services whenever possible. Feel free to also ask for updates/photos!What happens in emergencies
Emergency contact information and veterinary details are discussed during the initial Meet & Greet so I can act quickly and appropriately if anything unexpected comes up.How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better - especially for House/Pet Sitting as dates often book up months in advance. Feel free to check out my availability calendar via "Book Now"!Can I book a Meet & Greet even if I don't have specific dates planned yet?
Yes, absolutely! I'm always happy to meet ahead of time, even if you're just planning for future pet care needs. You can book a free meet & Greet anytime.Do you offer House/Pet Sitting in your home?
No. House/Pet Sitting takes place in the client's home only. This helps pets stay comfortable in their own familiar space, with their usual routines, smells, beds, windows, and suspicious backyard patrol routes. When you're House/Pet Sitting, do you bring my dog on walks with other dogs?
No. House/Pet Sitting dogs do not come along with my regular dog walks. Many of the dogs I walk are reactive or aggressive, so for everyone's safety and comfort, house-sitting dogs stay separate from daily dog walking clients.

"Lyndsey is amazing and my puppy adores her! He willingly goes with her for his walks and she manages to get great pictures of him. He is exhausted and ready for an early bedtime on the days Lyndsey walks him "
~ Jocelyne, Rover.com (Vancouver)
"I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Lyndsey took care of my pets while we went on summer holiday. Lyndsey was great with the pets. She took great care of them and regularly sent pictures of them. It was nice to see that she felt comfortable with them and they sure loved her! Lyndsey also took good care of our house! I would definitely ask Lyndsey again to take care of my pets and my house! "
~ Julie, Rover.com (Whitehorse)
"Lyndsey was a great find for us. We had never used her before and were pleasantly surprised with how well she and our dog Cleo got along. She stayed overnight in our house for a week and took care of both Cleo and our home while we were away. She sent us frequent pictures of Cleo and it was very reassuring to get them. There was one picture that we got that we swore she must have put peanut butter behind her ears to get Cleo so affectionate! Cleo loved her. We would hire Lyndsey again in a heartbeat."
~ Blaise, Rover.com (Vancouver)

Hi! I'm Lyndsey
Hi, I'm Lyndsey - the human behind North of 60 Pet Service! I'm a born-and-raised Yukon with a lifelong love for animals, the outdoors, and getting to know all the wonderfully different personalities pets can have.Over the years, I've cared for animals with all kinds of temperaments and routines: energetic adventure dogs, shy rescues, senior pets, sassy cats, tiny critters, and the delightfully quirky ones who maybe need a little extra patience, understanding or space before deciding you're acceptable. Those pets tend to be my specialty.I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your animals while you're away. My goal is always to provide care that feels calm, reliable, communicative, and genuinely personalized to your pet's individual needs, because no two animals are exactly alike. Whether your pets loves long walks, quiet company at home, structured routines, or simply having someone nearby, I strive to make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you're gone.
